Botanical Mono Printing Workshop with local artist & art educator Evelyn Polk. Morning session. Date: Tuesday 14th October 2025 Time: 9:45am to 12pm 'Create beautifully detailed Botanical Mono Prints using the plants themselves' Monotype printing, the most direct and instant form of printmaking. Printing from plants using the monotype printing technique gives a direct result of beautiful prints. Using nature in printmaking can produce the most remarkable details of the plants forms and patterns. Suitable for all abilities, materials included and you get to take home stunning, unique prints. Monotype was used by artists like Degas. This workshop is designed for complete beginners or those with some experience who wish to refresh their memory of the processes. It is a fantastic way to explore a variety of monotype printing techniques in a friendly studio atmosphere. Especially suitable for those who enjoy mark making. All your materials such as inks, binders, emulsion, pens, pencils, rulers etc. are supplied on the day of the workshop. Just turn up and enjoy a morning of printing. Our art classes are a great way to learn new skills in a wonderful relaxing environment, opposite the Mill Pond in Mill Tye, plus numbers are low so you'll receive individual tuition. Light refreshments will be available. What to wear Comfortable old clothing that you do not mind the possibility of getting a little inky! An apron is also useful if you have one. Access Please note that this workshop is held in the upper gallery, which unfortunately is not accessible for wheelchair users. We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. SPACES ARE LIMITED ON ALL OF OUR WORKSHOPS. Pre-booking is essential due to the popularity of our workshops.

Cancellation Policy Course Bookings: • Places on our courses are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis upon receipt of payment. • Submitting an application form without payment does not reserve a place on the course. • To guarantee a place, all applicants must pay in full after submitting their form. Refunds and Cancellations: • Cancellations up to 7 days before the course start date: Participants may cancel and receive a refund, subject to a £25 cancellation fee. • Cancellations within 72 hours of the course start date: Refunds will not be issued. • Non-attendance: No refunds will be provided for students who do not attend due to illness, personal commitments, or professional obligations. Course Changes or Cancellations by Mill Tye Gallery: • Mill Tye Gallery reserves the right to cancel or amend courses due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, participants will be offered an alternative date or a full refund. Access: • Workshops take place in the upper gallery, which is not wheelchair accessible. • If you have any physical disabilities or special learning needs, please notify us in advance by emailing milltye@icloud.com or calling 01787 376796, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Safety: • Prohibited items: Aerosol fixative sprays, smoking, mobile phones, radios, and personal stereos are not permitted during workshops. • Personal belongings: Participants are responsible for their belongings at all times. The gallery cannot accept liability for loss or damage to personal items. • Participants must take all work and belongings with them at the end of the class.
