This hands-on workshop explores the creative potential of cyanotypes through guided experimentation. Participants will learn how to produce contact photograms using plants and natural materials, as well as create expressive wet cyanotype prints. The session will also introduce botanical toning techniques, demonstrating how natural substances can be used to subtly alter the colour and character of the final image. Suitable for beginners and those with some prior experience, this workshop encourages curiosity, play and close observation of the natural world. The session forms part of Rowan Collinson’s June Artist in Residence programme, A Field Study: Documenting Four Seasons, which considers ecology, place and the quiet transformation of the landscape through sustainable photographic practice. Refreshments Tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits will be available during the session.
