Bruce Ronaldson
Bruce Ronaldson is a painter working across oil, watercolour and egg tempera, whose practice centres on landscape—both observed and imagined. His work explores atmosphere, colour and light, often moving beyond direct representation to create more personal and interpretive responses to place.
Alongside his studio practice, Bruce is an art historian with a particular interest in early Renaissance perspective. This long-standing engagement with art and architecture, developed through leading study trips across Europe, informs his approach to composition. In his paintings, spatial structure is frequently adapted or reimagined, resulting in works that balance tradition with a more subjective sense of depth and experience.
Bruce has previously exhibited at Mill Tye Gallery.
