About the event

Halima Washington Dixon

A Flower’s Tale

November — December 2026

In A Flower’s Tale, Halima Washington Dixon turns her eye from the wide horizons of Suffolk to the intimate theatre of the still-life table. Bursting with colour, movement, and character, these new paintings treat each arrangement not as a static object but as a living narrative—petals leaning and twisting like voices in conversation, glass catching and bending the light, stems gathering in quiet choreography. Washington Dixon’s bold, expressive brushwork transforms everyday botanicals into scenes of vivid emotional presence, inviting viewers to pause, look closely, and follow the story each bloom begins to tell.
