About the event

The theme of the exhibition is a dark future where animals have moved back into urban environments and most of the people have left. These themes will come to life in large-scale pieces that will span across the large spaces of the gallery. Artist Lee Thomas will continue to work on the installation in the gallery involving visitors and encouraging them to develop their own interpretations of dystopia using a virtual frame, and to break out of their creative comfort zone, so the exhibition becomes one large collaborative piece. Welcome to your show…

Collage workshops will also be running in conjunction with the exhibition. Look out for further information on the gallery website and social media.

Please also contact us if you would like to volunteer at the gallery over the period of the exhibition.

Dystopia, When Empires Fall will be unveiled at a special launch event on Saturday 9th November, from midday until 6pm, where visitors will be able to meet the artist and hear more about the inspiration behind the exhibition and see him at work in the studio.

Drinks will be served throughout the launch event and the gallery and artist very much look forward to welcoming visitors throughout the duration of the exhibition.

Preview and meet the artist between 12 noon and 6pm on Saturday 9th November.

The exhibition continues until ‘Christmas Eve’ - Tuesday 24th December when the gallery closes at 4pm for its winter break.

We will return in March 2025.

Gallery opening hours: Thursday to Sunday 10:30am – 4pm   Free admission.
