Under the Oak is a solarplate intaglio etching by Rowan Collingson, created in the same landscape that inspired her forthcoming exhibition, A Field Study – documenting four seasons.
Although not included in the exhibition itself, this print reflects the same careful observation of place and the artist’s close relationship with the natural world. The intricate branches of an ancient oak are rendered with delicate tonal detail, capturing both the strength and character of the tree against an open sky.
Printed by hand in a small edition of five, each impression is unique. The print is presented unframed on A4 cream-coloured fine art paper individually signed by Rowan Collingson.
