Service Description

‘Printing more than one colour’ An introduction to the ‘reduction’ printing method with Evelyn Polk Date: Tuesday 25th June Time: Morning session from 9:30am to 1:00pm This relaxing tutor lead workshop will guide you with step by step instructions a reduction Lino printing method which will enable you to create stunning multiple coloured prints. The ‘reduction’ method of printing multiple colours is a process where each colour layer is cut and printed from a single block. All abilities are catered for from absolute beginners to those that have joined us before. Price includes the cost of all your materials. Light refreshments are available. We provide tea, coffee, cakes, biscuits and good conversation! Please bring some visual inspiration and drawings or reference images printed out to create your image from. Please make sure that your individual images are a maximum size of A5 if you plan to trace them. Simple, graphic images work best for this workshop. All printmaking materials and tools will be provided What to expect from this workshop. This workshop aims to introduce you to the ‘reduction’ method, giving you an understanding of the step by step process and the tools and materials required, guiding you through creating your own two colour ‘reduction’ lino print. What to wear Comfortable old clothing that you do not mind the possibility of getting a little inky! An apron is also useful if you have one. Access The course takes place in the upper gallery, which is not suitable for wheel chair access. SPACES ARE LIMITED ON ALL OF OUR WORKSHOPS.

Cancellation Policy

Places on our courses will be allocated on a first come, first served basis once payment has been received. Completing the application form without also making payment does not reserve a place on the course. All applicants must pay after submitting their form to guarantee a place on their chosen course. Refunds and Cancellations Cancellations are permitted up to one week before the start of a course, subject to a £25 cancellation fee. Refunds will not be made for cancellations less than 72 hours before the start of a course. Students who do not attend due to illness, personal or professional commitments do not have the right to a refund. Access The workshop takes place in the upper gallery which is not suitable for wheel chair access. Please notify the Gallery if participants have physical disabilities or special learning needs. The use of mobile telephones, radios, personal stereos is not allowed. Please take care of your belongings at all times and never leave valuables unattended. We regret that we cannot be held responsible for the loss of participants’ belongings. Participants must make sure that they take all work and belongings away at the end of the class.
