 Sophie Cook

We are delighted to welcome the work of ceramicist Sophie Cook, a graduate of the Camberwell School of Arts (1997), whose refined and quietly confident pieces have earned an international following.

Over the past two decades, Sophie has built a reputation for creating ceramics of exceptional elegance and integrity. Her work resides in some of the most beautiful private homes around the world and is held in permanent collections including the Geffrye Museum, London; the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts; and Manchester City Galleries. She was also selected for the distinguished touring exhibition European Design Since 1985: Shaping the New Century, which celebrated influential contemporary design across Europe.

In 2002, Sophie received the Adrian Sassoon Award at the Chelsea Crafts Fair — an early recognition of the clarity of vision and craftsmanship that continue to define her practice today.

Sophie’s ceramics are characterised by their balance, restraint and attention to detail — pieces that reward close looking and bring a sense of calm and considered beauty to the spaces they inhabit.
