Mill Tye Gallery and Arts Centre welcomed visitors throughout the day on Saturday 14 March for the opening of Pulling Prints, an exhibition showcasing the work of emerging artists aged 18–25.
The exhibition marks the culmination of a creative programme developed by Gainsborough’s House in collaboration with Mill Tye Gallery. Since September 2025, participating artists have taken part in a series of artist-led workshops, exploring a range of printmaking techniques and developing their own individual approaches to the medium.

Opening day offered visitors the opportunity to meet the artists and gain insight into the processes behind their work. Conversations around materials, techniques and ideas continued throughout the gallery, as audiences engaged directly with both the artworks and the makers themselves.
There was a warm and lively atmosphere across the day, helped along by bright spring weather and extended opening hours, with a steady stream of visitors coming through the gallery to experience the exhibition.
We were delighted to welcome colleagues from Gainsborough’s House, including Calvin Winner, Executive Director, Katie Chappell, Development Manager, and Emma Boyd, Keeper of Art and Place. The project was developed in collaboration with Jilly Roberts, Learning and Engagement Curator, whose work has been instrumental in supporting the artists throughout the programme.
“It was fantastic to see so many people engaging with the exhibition and taking the time to talk with the artists about their work. The energy in the gallery really reflected the ambition and creativity of everyone involved.”
Pulling Prints continues at Mill Tye Gallery and Arts Centre until Easter Monday, 6 April 2026. We warmly encourage visitors to come and experience the exhibition and discover the work of this exciting new generation of artists.
