Mulbo Mug – Orange Glaze on Black Clay

A striking balance of form and contrast, the Mulbo Mug is a contemporary piece crafted from richly toned black clay and dipped in a vivid orange glaze. The soft curve of its silhouette is interrupted just below the handle, where the raw clay is intentionally left exposed — a thoughtful design choice that reveals the integrity of the material beneath.
Designed by British ceramicist Hannah Turner, each mug is handmade in Sri Lanka using stoneware ceramic and finished with care. The combination of saturated colour and tactile clay gives the piece a quietly bold character — perfect for those who appreciate everyday objects with presence and purpose.
Presented in a recycled cardboard box, the Mulbo Mug is as considered in its packaging as it is in its design.
