Around Blakeney.
Noel Myles is well known for his pictures of trees. His Suffolk Oaks can be seen in Private Collections as far away as 'from New York to Dubai and Melbourne to Toronto'.
The Mill Tye Gallery, in conjunction with Noel Myles, has produced a series of special limited edition prints, that are exclusively available through the gallery.
Myles' work links photography and printmaking. Hundreds of photographs are taken for each subject over a period of time to provide the raw material for his compositions.
'Around Blakeney' for example, comprises of 54 photographs taken during the artists time in North Norfolk. He had been staying at the windmill in Cley next the Sea and enjoying the elevated views across the reed beds towards the coast. From there he walked over to Blakeney, immersing himself the beauty of the muted colours of sea lavender and other plants. He had this large, rich area all to himself. This is one of the compositions depicting the experience that he made on his return to his studio.
